Notice: Please read these terms carefully. They establish legally binding terms between you (traveler or host partner) and Yaman Lanka Pvt Ltd.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing listings, or booking any vehicle, hotel, tour, or adventure through Yaman Lanka, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
2 User Registration & Account Security
To post listings as a rentee or make confirmed bookings, users must fulfill key criteria:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register or initiate booking transactions.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete identification info (Passport / Business Registration / Contact Details).
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
3 Marketplace Connection Platform Role
Yaman Lanka operates strictly as an online connection venue and directory platform connecting travelers/clients directly with verified third-party vehicle owners, hotel hosts, and adventure providers in Sri Lanka. Yaman Lanka does not act as a payment agent or financial intermediary.
4 Vehicle Rental Guidelines & Licensing
For self-drive and chauffeur-driven vehicle rentals in Sri Lanka:
- Driving License Requirement: Foreign drivers must hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) or a temporary Sri Lankan Driving Recognition Permit issued by the AAC (Automobile Association of Ceylon).
- Fuel & Tolls: Vehicles are provided with a baseline fuel level and must be returned at the agreed level unless chauffeur packages specify inclusive fuel.
- Security Deposit: Refundable security deposits (if applicable) are agreed upon and paid directly to the vehicle owner, and refunded upon inspection of the returned vehicle.
5 Hotel & Stay Terms
Guests contacting hotel room, villa, or homestay rentees must respect host house rules, check-in times (standard 2:00 PM), check-out times (standard 11:00 AM), and occupancy limits set by the accommodation provider.
6 Tour Packages & Outdoor Adventure Safety
Participants in outdoor adventures (such as trekking, surfing, white-water rafting, and wildlife safaris) acknowledge that certain outdoor activities carry inherent physical risks. Participants are advised to follow safety instructions provided by certified local guides.
7 Direct Payments & Rentee Agreement
Platform transactions and financial policies operate under the following direct model:
- Direct Payments: Yaman Lanka does NOT collect or process payment transactions online. All monetary payments, deposits, and price settlements are arranged directly between the client and the rentee/host.
- No Platform Commission Fees: Yaman Lanka charges zero commission on bookings, allowing clients to enjoy direct, competitive local rates.
- Cancellation & Refunds: Cancellations, reschedule requests, and refund procedures are handled directly with the specific rentee in accordance with their agreed terms.
8 Rentee / Host Partner Obligations
Rentees listing vehicles, hotels, or tours on Yaman Lanka guarantee that:
- All vehicle photos, rates, specifications, and availability calendars are accurate and up-to-date.
- Vehicles possess valid revenue licenses, comprehensive insurance covers, and pass regular safety checks.
- Accommodations comply with local hospitality standards and sanitation guidelines.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Yaman Lanka Pvt Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party host delays, extreme weather events, or traffic disruptions.
10 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from platform transactions shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the commercial courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
